What a wonderful event the Holiday Sing-A-Long was at The Rogerson House in Jamaica Plain on December 13, 2009! The children sang holiday songs, danced, and played bells and the residents sang along and clapped their hands. They really enjoyed watching the kids and laughed when they did something cute and funny. There was joy in the giving and joy in the receiving and the room was filled was filled with joyful music. Many thanks to vocal teacher Marianne Ryan of Creative Adventures in Dedham and pianist Stanley Macht who make this opportunity possible for the kids.
If anyone is interested in joining “SInging From The Heart” class, a group that learns songs from the American Songbook and performs at various nursing homes, see createyouradventures.com or email Joy at . Classes will resume in the beginning of 2010.
