Nov.28, Dec. 5,12,19, 2009, The Sugar Plum Tea at the Ritz Carlton Boston Common

Catching Joy was delighted to return to the Sugar Plum Teas at the Ritz Carlton Boston Common. It was truly wonderful to see so many children feel the joy of giving to others. The kids enjoyed making holiday ornaments- ballerinas, snowflakes and a beautiful paper chain- for two Christmas trees that were donated by the Ritz Carlton and delivered to the Pine Street Inn residential homes, one in the Women’s Inn of the Pine Street Inn in the South End and the other at a residential home in Jamaica Plain. Catching Joy and staff from the Ritz Carlton Hotel went to the Pine Street Inn to decorate the tree. The residents were happy to have a tree given to them for them to enjoy this holiday season. Many thanks to the Ritz Carlton for this wonderful event and letting Catching Joy be an integral part of it! We look forward to doing it again next year!

Special thanks to Deb Manchester, better known as Artsy Mommy, who designed the ornaments and worked at all the event dates. See Also, thanks to the volunteers from the Junior League of Boston/Done In A Day group who help with many Catching Joy events.

In addition, thanks to all the church and school groups who participated in this charity project. These groups included the Kindergarten class at St. Ignatius Church in Chestnut Hill, MA.
